Blood donation and health check-up camp organized at Degree College Chail Koti
A blood donation and health check-up camp was organized in the college campus on Wednesday under the joint aegis of Lion Club Shimla and the NSS unit of Government College Chail Koti. NSS volunteers participated in it in large numbers. Apart from collecting 30 units of blood in this camp, health check-up of more than 100 students and staff was also done. Dr. Ganga Sharma of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital along with her team provided her services in this camp.
Principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj inaugurated the camp. In her address, she said that blood donation is a great donation that can give life to any suffering person. Dr. Ganga Sharma said that every person should donate blood voluntarily so that there is no weakness in the human body, rather the lack of blood is fulfilled within 24 hours.
Lion Club Shimla President Manmohan Verma and Project President Lion Sufal Sood said that every year blood donation camps are organized at various places in the district through the club so that the collected blood can be used for the needy people in IGMC and DDU. The employees of BVP Clinical Laboratory played a special role in this health camp. Apart from this, the team of doctors of Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla gave information about the donation of body organs in the college.
