In Pangi of Chamba district, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today campaigned heavily in favor of the Congress Party and sought votes in favor of the party’s candidate Vikramaditya from Mandi Lok Sabha seat. Addressing a huge election rally in Kilar, Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Congress party is going to win all the seats in the elections. He said that the Congress party will win all the 6 Lok Sabha seats as well as the by-elections by a huge margin.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the tainted people sold their souls under the influence of money and betrayed the Congress party. He said that these 6 leaders have put the unnecessary burden of by-elections on the public. He said that BJP wants to grab power with money power, but the people of the state will answer it with manpower. He said that now it is the responsibility of the voters of the state to defeat these 6 tainted leaders.
The Chief Minister said that the BJP candidate from Mandi does not know public issues. BJP is giving a script to Kangana and she is speaking her dialogues. He said that Jairam Thakur is a flop director and the film will flop badly on June 4. He said that after the film flops on June 4, Kangana will go back to Mumbai.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Kangana Ranaut did not help the affected families during the disaster, while film actor Aamir Khan quietly gave Rs 25 lakh to the disaster affected people. He said that during the biggest disaster in the history of Himachal Pradesh during the last rainy season, he and all the cabinet members went to the affected areas and stood with the disaster affected families and helped them. The state government, with its limited resources and without central assistance, gave a package of Rs 4500 crore to the affected families.
He said that the present state government has fulfilled five of its 10 major election guarantees in just one and a quarter year’s tenure. The government restored the old pension, gave a pension of Rs 1500 to women, created a startup fund of Rs 680 crore for the youth, started teaching in English medium from the first class in all government schools. Along with this, keeping in view the welfare of the farmers, minimum support price was provided on the purchase of milk. He said that cow milk is being purchased for Rs 45 and buffalo milk for Rs 55 in the state.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government is giving special priority to development works in tribal areas. He said that in view of the problems in Pangi area, the state government is promoting the exploitation of solar energy. He said that Battery Energy Storage System project is being set up in Pangi to ensure power supply even during snowfall days. Solar power projects of 1.2 MW are being set up in Kharyar of Pangi area and 400-400 kW in Dharwar and Hilour. He said that Malu Nala Phase-II power project will be started afresh in the coming time. He said that the road system in Pangi will be further strengthened and efforts will be made to complete the ongoing incomplete projects here as soon as possible. He said that he will visit Pangi again soon and then will also make big announcements for the region.
