Himachal Pradesh, May 18, 2026: Former Union Minister and Hamirpur Lok Sabha MP, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, has expressed joy over BJP’s landslide victory in the civic elections in Himachal Pradesh, calling it proof of the people’s trust in the party and Modi Ji.

The results of the municipal and nagar panchayat elections make it clear that the people of Himachal are fed up with the corrupt and failed policies of the Congress and have made up their minds for a change in the upcoming assembly elections. Shri Anurag Singh Thakur further said: “The people of Himachal Pradesh are witnessing the rule of the most directionless, insensitive, and incompetent government in history in the form of the current Congress government. In Himachal’s seven decades of history, the present Congress government is the most corrupt and useless government, against which there is immense anger among the people. This government has failed to live up to either public sentiments or its own promises. That is why the people have rejected Congress in these civic elections and shown faith in BJP. Moreover, the people of Himachal have decided to sweep away Congress in 2027 as well and bring a BJP government of good governance.”
