BJP should tell why the ticket of current MP Kishan Kapoor was cut: Dharmani

Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has also shown the mirror to the BJP by raising many questions. He asked the BJP should tell why the ticket of current MP and Gaddi leader Kishan Kapoor was canceled from the Kangra parliamentary constituency. He had won with the highest number of votes in the last Lok Sabha elections. Despite so much voting being in his favor, the decision to cut the ticket of the Gaddi leader is upsetting the people of Kangra parliamentary constituency. BJP gave a ticket to a sellable Congress MLA in the assembly by-election, while pushing Gaddi leader Kishan Kapoor to the margins.

Dharmani said that former Union Minister Anand Sharma is a strong candidate for Congress. He has brought glory to the name of Himachal Pradesh in the country and abroad. While being the Union Minister, he has given many gifts to the state and Kangra district. He opened an industrial park in Indora of Kangra district by giving a gift of Rs 150 crore. Got regional offices of the National Tea Board approved for tea gardeners. He has also opened a sericulture extension center in Palampur in the Kangra district. He has also gifted a passport office to Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, people of the state had to go to Chandigarh or other places to get a passport. Since the opening of the office in Shimla, lakhs of passports have been made. This is a big contribution of Anand Sharma to the state. He has provided crores of rupees from the MP fund for road construction, sewerage treatment plants and other development works in the entire state. He has laid the foundation stone of IIT Mandi. Anand Sharma helped in getting Central University in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, ESIC Medical College Nerchowk, and IIIT in Una district. While being a Union Minister, he was also instrumental in establishing Chamba, Nahan, and Hamirpur Medical Colleges.

Dharmani said Anand Sharma did not do this development work because he had to contest elections. Anand Ji did these things to give further impetus to development in the state. He has distributed his Rajya Sabha MP fund to the entire state.

BJP MPs completely failed in developing Himachal. He did not support the public during the disaster, nor could he muster the courage to ask for a special relief package from the Prime Minister. Anand Sharma did commendable work in whatever ministry he was a minister in the UPA government. Among all the ministers of Himachal who have been at the Centre, Anand Sharma has done the most and best work. BJP leaders and Union ministers are busy baking political bread.
