BJP neither helped disaster-affected people nor provided any cooperation

State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has accused the BJP of neither helping the disaster-affected people during the disaster nor providing any cooperation with the state government in relief works. BJP leaders also stopped the financial assistance from the central government. Whatever money was released by the Central Government to the state during the disaster, is released to every state of the country every year to deal with such disasters.
Pratibha Singh said that at the time of the disaster, the state government, despite its limited resources, provided full help to the disaster-affected people. Provided them with immediate relief amount. To normalize life in the disaster-affected areas, roads, electricity, water, and health services were restored on a war footing. All the ministers of the state government came out on the streets along with the MLA administration and provided relief to the people by completing relief and rehabilitation works in record time. He said that the state government established a disaster relief fund of Rs 4500 crore. The state government expanded the relief rules from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 7 lakh for those whose houses were completely destroyed. During this period, the people of the state also gave full support to the government by contributing to the relief fund, but the government did not get any support from the BJP leaders.
Pratibha Singh has criticized the state BJP leaders and said that the BJP is trying to mislead people at the time of elections on the disaster relief issued by the Centre. He said that the state government had sought special relief from the Center and demanded to declare this disaster as a national disaster. She had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard and had also requested him for special financial help to deal with the disaster. The Prime Minister assured them but the state did not get even a single penny.
Pratibha Singh said that the BJP cannot mislead people. The Congress government of the state is committed to the welfare of the people. He said that Congress will achieve a landslide victory in all four Lok Sabha seats as well as 6 by-elections in the state.
