BJP leaders stopped financial assistance to Himachal Pradesh: Sukhu

We settled 25 thousand families in the disaster, BJP did politics

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has said that the present state government resettled more than 25 thousand disaster-affected families without the help of the Central Government, while BJP leaders did politics even in the disaster. He said that Himachal Pradesh faced an unprecedented natural disaster during the rainy season last year, floods and landslides caused by heavy rains caused huge damage to life and property.

He said that the state government released a special relief package of Rs 4500 crore despite limited economic resources to assist the affected families. Despite the unprecedented disaster in the state, the Central Government did not give any special economic package to provide relief and rehabilitation to the disaster-affected families. During this disaster, the anti-state face of BJP leaders of Himachal Pradesh was seen.

He said that instead of helping the affected families, BJP leaders kept creating obstacles to stop the financial assistance from the Central Government. When the state government brought a resolution in the Assembly to declare the disaster in Himachal Pradesh as a national disaster, the BJP MLAs kept talking big for three days. But when it came to voting in favor of the proposal, BJP MLAs stood against the proposal. The words and actions of the BJP leaders have come before the people and the people of the state have come to know the truth of the BJP leaders. At the same time, the state government, with its limited resources, has increased the assistance amount for reconstruction of a completely damaged house from Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 7 lakh, for partially damaged kutcha houses from Rs 6 thousand to Rs 1 lakh, shop Or the amount of assistance in case of damage to dhabas has been increased from Rs 25 thousand to Rs 1 lakh and in case of damage to cowsheds, the amount of assistance has been increased from Rs 3 thousand to Rs 50 thousand.

He said that the government is providing Rs 5,000 per month in rural areas and Rs 10,000 in urban areas as rent to the disaster-affected people. Apart from this, the state government is also providing free ration, gas connection, free electricity and water connection, and cement at government rates to the disaster-affected families. He said that the present state government is the government of the common people and public service is the only objective.
