BJP leaders are resorting to lies to shine their politics: Naresh Chauhan
Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor on Media, Naresh Chauhan said here today that BJP leaders make baseless statements under pressure from Delhi, whereas the truth is that in this short tenure of two years of the present government, 5 guarantees have already been fulfilled.
Countering the statement of the Leader of Opposition in which he said that the old pension of 1.36 lakh employees has not been restored in the state, Chauhan said that rhetoric should be based on facts. He said that Jairam Thakur himself has been the Chief Minister of the state and can easily gather information about the guarantees fulfilled. Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement OPS today.
Naresh Chauhan said that the state government has fulfilled its election promise and implemented the Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi scheme. Women have started getting its benefits. The 2.71 lakh women in the state who were earlier getting Rs 1000 to 1100 are now getting Rs 1500 under this scheme. Now the public has started asking the BJP leaders why they are against public welfare policies.
He said that the process of organisational elections of BJP is going on in the state and the battle for supremacy among BJP leaders is well known and soon a big reshuffle is going to happen with the appointment of a new president. This is the reason why BJP leaders are making baseless and fabricated allegations against the Congress government to brighten their politics. He said that BJP leaders themselves are getting exposed by their policy of misleading the public by resorting to the politics of lies.
Naresh Chauhan said that Chief Minister Sukhu is talking about Green State and work is also being done on the ground. Himachal Road Transport Corporation and Electricity Board are running on the support of grant money, in such a situation if the government wants to make them stand on their feet, then what is wrong in that. As part of the initiative to promote electric vehicles, 1,500 buses from the corporation’s fleet of 3,200 buses will be replaced with electric buses in the next two to three years.
The media advisor said that the government has presented two budgets, in which the government’s vision is clear. Himachal is moving ahead with the goal of self-reliance. Along with this, the rural economy is being strengthened. Himachal is the first state to bring milk under the category of support price. The Chief Minister held a meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister and ministers yesterday and discussed the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ program and the upcoming budget and how every section should be benefited through the budget.
