BJP condems notification issued by government shifting Barohag Patwar Circle from Kangu to Galod sub-tehsil

Dr. Sikandar Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP and State General Secretary of the BJP, has strongly condemned the notification issued today by the Himachal Pradesh Congress government shifting the Barohag Patwar Circle from Kangu to Galod sub-tehsil, calling it an anti-people move by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s government.
Dr. Sikander stated that approximately 11-12 villages, including Badhera, Dhago, Sasan Brahmana, Karghu Khalsa, Karghu Jagir, Sanahi Kalan, Sanahi Khurd, Kohlvin, Chaleli, and Har Masanda, fall under the Badohg Patwar Circle. Thousands of residents of these villages have been benefiting from the convenience of having a Patwar Circle in Badohg to get their revenue work done. However, the Sukhu government has been working against public amenities since the first day of coming to power. He added that the Badohg Patwar Circle is only 2-3 kilometers from Kangu, while the Galod sub-tehsil is approximately 8-14 kilometers away, which will create an additional burden of time and money for the residents.
Dr. Sikandar Kumar said that the primary responsibility of any government is to provide public services and protect their interests, but the current Congress government appears to have no concern for public interests. He added that this Congress government has previously undermined public interests by closing over 1,500 government institutions, including Patwar Circles, Tehsil offices, Sub-Tehsils, Veterinary Dispensaries, SDM offices, schools, and colleges, and this trend continues even after three years. This government came to power on the basis of false guarantees, and now, far from fulfilling those guarantees, it is acting contrary to public sentiment.
Dr. Sikander said that this is the Chief Minister’s home constituency, and the people here elected Sukhwinder Sukhu with the belief that he would look after their interests and develop the region. Sadly, when the Chief Minister refuses to relent in harassing the people of his home constituency, one can easily imagine the state’s dire situation. He even attempted to establish a new sub-tehsil in 2015 while still an MLA, but public opposition prevented him from achieving his goal. Now, after becoming Chief Minister, he has misused his powers and committed this despicable act.
Dr. Sikandar urged the state government to immediately withdraw the notification shifting the Badohg Patwar Circle to Galod sub-tehsil in the public interest, otherwise the local people would be forced to fight for their rights.
