Archana won the spoon race and musical chair competition
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, various competitions for women like spoon race, spider race, musical chair, breaking the pot, short drama etc. were organized in Dublu of Gram Panchayat Balog of Mashobra Block. Archana from Ekta Mahila Gram Sangathan got first place in spoon race and musical chair competition and Rana Self Help Group got first place in spider race. Apart from this, Lakshmi Self Help Group and Rana Self Help Group staged a short drama related to social concern in a wonderful manner and won applause. On this occasion, women of Jagrook Mahila Gram Sangathan and Ekta Mahila Gram Sangathan entertained the audience by dancing on Gidda and Pahadi Naatis. This program was organized by Ekta Mahila Gram Sangathan Balog, formed under the National Rural Livelihood Mission.
BJP leader Vijay Jyoti Sen attended this program as the chief guest. She said that it is a matter of pride that rural women are playing their role in the mainstream of society by setting aside the conservatism of four walls. She urged women to become self-reliant and ensure their participation in the responsibilities of their family and society.
Meera Kashyap, Secretary of Ekta Mahila Gram Sangathan said that women from 22 self-help groups of two women’s organizations participated enthusiastically in this program.
On this occasion, BJP official Asha Rathore, head of Ekta Mahila Sangathan Reena Rana, head of Jagrook Sangathan Promila, besides Sonu, Rama, Shehnai player Santosh Gandharva and a large number of women participated.
