Anti-ragging week celebrated in Degree College Chail-Koti
Anti-ragging week was organized in Government College Chail-Koti. During this, various programs were organized with the aim of making students aware of social evils like ragging. Principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj presided over the program.
He said that during the anti-ragging week, an oath taking ceremony was organized for the students in which the students pledged that they will not harass the new students in any way, either physically or mentally. After this, a documentary based on the dangers of ragging and the legal provisions related to it was shown, so that the students could be provided with necessary information on this subject.
He said that during the week, a debate competition was organized in which the participants expressed their views on the ill-effects of ragging and the legal aspects related to it. On the closing day, slogan writing and poster making competitions were organized in which the students presented anti-ragging messages and the need for mutual cooperation in a creative way.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Principal observed the posters and slogans made by the students and in her address urged the students to maintain discipline and ensure continuity of the academic environment in the college campus.
On this occasion, members of the Anti-Ragging Committee, Prof. Amrit Mehta, Prof. Inder Prakash Negi and Prof. Devendra Singh along with other faculty members were also present.
