Anand Sharma’s ministerial post-fixed in India coalition government: Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today campaigned in the Jwalamukhi assembly constituency in favor of Congress Party candidate Anand Sharma from the Kangra Lok Sabha seat. Addressing an election meeting in Khundia, he said that the Congress party has fielded the country’s veteran leader Anand Sharma from the Kangra Lok Sabha seat. He said that when he was a minister in the Central Government, whenever we went to Anand Sharma to ask for something for Himachal, he used to work on one phone. Fashion Technology Institute in Kangra, the expansion of the industrial area in the state, the Regional Passport Office in Shimla, Spice Park in Nadaun, and Shimla-Mataur Fourlane are the results of Anand Sharma’s thinking. He said that Kangra needs such an MP, whose voice will be heard by the entire country. He said that when Anand Sharma wins the Lok Sabha elections, his ministerial post in the Indian coalition government is certain.
Attacking the BJP, the Chief Minister said that the opposition conspired to topple the government based on currency notes and spread rumors of my resignation. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur challenged God in the Assembly and said that even God cannot save this government. However, six Congress MLAs were disqualified for violating the whip. He said that when the BJP could not form the government with the public vote and made an unsuccessful attempt to grab the chair with the help of currency notes. He said that there is no threat to the present state government and will complete its tenure.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the tainted are saying that they did not get respect. All the decisions and all the officers in his constituencies were given as per his wish. The Congress party honored him by making him an MLA and placed him on important posts in the party, isn’t that an honor? He said that the truth is that it was not the honor that was tainted, but the hunger for goods. The stuff kept in the BJP’s briefcase was quite heavy. Coming under his influence, he sold his faith. He said that God is with us, because God supports the truth, and Jairam Thakur’s coat will remain stitched because the MLAs of his party will be after that chair. He said that this is an election to save democracy, which the government cannot fight alone. But with the help of manpower, the Congress party will answer the money power.
The Chief Minister said that today the MLA from Nadaun, a neighboring area of Jwalamukhi assembly constituency, is the Chief Minister. He said that being a neighbor, MLA Sanjay Ratna has given whatever he asked for to this area. This is just the beginning, in the coming time Changar area will no longer be Changar and the Ganga of development will flow here.
He said that the state government, without any intention of political gain, gave the old pension to the government employees in the very first cabinet meeting, so that they could live their lives with self-respect. Whereas Jairam Thakur challenged the employees to contest MLA elections and tortured them for asking for old pension. Now BJP leaders are trying to stop Rs 9000 crore of NPS.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the present state government fought last year’s disaster like a war, but Jairam Thakur kept demanding to call the assembly session again and again. Despite three days of discussion, BJP MLAs did not support the proposal to provide a special economic package to Himachal Pradesh and did not stand with the 22 thousand disaster-affected families. He said that the present state government, showing strong will, gave a special relief package of Rs 4500 crore from its limited resources. He said that he comes from a common family, hence he understands the pain of the common man better. Understanding the problems of the people, the state government made changes in the revenue laws for speedy disposal of pending revenue cases and more than one lakh Itkaal and seven and a half thousand Takseem cases have been settled through Revenue Lok Adalats.
The Chief Minister said that by closing the doors of corruption, the present state government earned additional revenue of Rs 2200 crore in fifteen months. From this revenue, the state government is taking care of the education of children of widows and single women and is giving them assistance of Rs 3 lakh to build a house. The daily wage under MNREGA has been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 300, the government is raising the cost of treatment for elderly people above 70 years of age, buffalo milk is being purchased at the rate of Rs 55, and cow milk at the rate of Rs 45 per liter.
