A wave of faith will surge in Rishi Panchami Jatra fair Bangapani

 The Rishi Panchami Jatra Fair will be celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at the Kalauhar Nag Temple, Bangapani, in the former Keonthal princely state on September 15 and 16. Residents are highly enthusiastic about the fair, and a large number of devotees are expected to arrive from approximately 12 panchayats.
Fair committee president and minister Sita Ram Sharma and Suresh Verma announced that on the first day of the fair, September 15th, there will be a special visit from Jaieshwari Kali Mata Daleniya and Kalauhar Nag Devta Grange. During the night, both deities will be worshipped according to traditional rituals.
He announced that the main fair will be held on September 16th. On this occasion, people from the area will seek the blessings of Mata Jaiswari and the Kalohar Nag Devta. A tug-of-war competition for women will also be held at the fair. The first-place team will receive a prize of 11,000 rupees, while the second-place team will receive 5,000 rupees.
He added that renowned folk singers from the state have been invited to make the fair even more attractive. Folk artists Honey Negi, Bharti Sharma, Dr. Manoj Gandharva, Reshma Pandya, Dikshita Bragta, and Suresh Sharma will entertain the audience with their performances.
Sita Ram Sharma said that Narendra Thakur, advisor to the Himachal Pradesh Marketing Board, will inaugurate the fair at 11 a.m. on September 16. Deepak Rathore, vice president of the State Disaster Management Board, will attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Suresh Verma stated that special buses have been arranged for the convenience of the devotees coming to the fair. In addition, langar will also be provided for the devotees. He urged the residents of the area to attend the fair in large numbers to receive divine blessings and strengthen the fair’s tradition.
