A racket involved in theft of Rs 20 lac jewellery & cash busted

Himachal Pradesh Police busted a racket involved in Rs 20 lakh jewellery and cash organised theft in Rohru Subdivision of the district recovering the stolen material after nabbing ninepersons including three jewellers involved in five different burglaries occurred in the month of November this year, Mr Kamal Kumar spokesman of Shimla police said.
“In order to solve the mysterious organised thefts help of cyber cell, dog squad and forensics expert  a 15 Member special investigation team was constituted involving police personnel from SDP rank officers of Rohru and Chopal” he said

SIT keep eye on all the strangers roaming in the villages and some of them were also interrogated.
Special nakka and blockades were placed in the area and technical assistance was given to the SIT by the finger print and cyber expert to zero in on the accuseds.
SP Shimla Ms Monika Bhutunguru and Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Shimla Vijay Kumar Sharma were supervising special operations with help of SIT.
All the suspects on the scientific trail of crime  were also interrogated by ASP Vijay Kumar. The SIT succeeded to nab nine persons along with associated three goldsmiths who had bought the stolen gold  from the accused and  stolen gold ornaments and cash was recovered.  

In the month of November, 2021, under Subdivision Rohru, five consecutive incidents of burglary took place  under the jurisdiction of police station Chidgaon and Rohru. 
Apart from this, there were two other burglary incidents in the month of November in the nearby areas, were also solved within a week – all culprits are behind the bar now 

 In these incidents, jewelry and cash worth about Rs 20 lakh were stolen, he added.
