A New Home for the Party: BJP Lays Foundation for Himachal Headquarters Amid Festive Fervor
The atmosphere was one of celebration and commitment in Majhathai, Shimla, as BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda laid the foundation stone for the party’s new state headquarters. The event, marked by traditional rituals and the vibrant energy of party workers, signaled the start of a fresh chapter for the BJP in Himachal Pradesh.
Upon arriving at the site near DAV School on Airport Road, Nadda was greeted by a cheering crowd of workers. He then immersed himself in a 45-minute-long sacred puja ceremony before unveiling the foundation plaque, officially setting the project in motion. The air resonated with Vedic chants performed by priests, blending spirituality with political purpose.
The visit was also a practical inspection. State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal walked Nadda through the detailed plans for the new building. Nadda offered his insights on the design, ensuring the future office would be both functional and a fitting hub for the party’s activities in the state.
A highlight for the gathered cadre was the ceremonial installation of the kalash (a sacred pot) by Nadda, which sparked waves of enthusiasm. In a more informal moment later, the National President sat down for tea with workers, chatting about strengthening the party’s grassroots network and upcoming organizational plans.
The event saw a strong show of unity from the party’s leadership. Key figures like Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and State In-charge Srikant Sharma shared the platform with hundreds of dedicated workers.
More than just a construction launch, the day was infused with a sense of collective resolve and festive spirit. For the BJP’s workers in Himachal, it marked the symbolic beginning of building their future, brick by brick, together.
