A major fire broke out in a wooden craving house in Kumarsain Shimla

A major fire broke out in a wooden craving house in Kumarsain of Shimla district this morning.

Chief Fire officer Shimla confirmed that fire broke out in a wooden craving residential house belonging to Kuldeep Mehta resident of Batauti village of Kumarsain at 0900 hrs Tuesday.

The fire broke out on the top floor of a three-storey house. A Fire tender was pressed to the spot yo doused down the inferno.

Now fire was brought under controlled and saving remaining stories of the house from further damage.

According to preliminary information, a loss of more than Rs 30 lakh is being reported.

In this fire incident, the third floor of the house was completely burnt to ashes. Partial damage was also reported to the second floor.

It is being told that this fire broke out due to short circuit. However, police and local administration have reached the spot and the damage is being assessed.
