A Fragrant Revolution: Rose Paddy Blooms in Banoli Khas, Earning Minister’s Praise

Flame, September 8: The fields of Banoli Khas Panchayat are painting a picture of agricultural success this season, thanks to a thriving advanced crop of fragrant ‘Rose Paddy.’ The impressive sight drew a visit from the state’s Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister, Prof. Chandra Kumar, who personally inspected the lush, healthy fields today.

During his visit to the Jwali Assembly constituency, the Minister met with the innovative farmers behind this bounty—Satpal Singh, Kesar Singh, and Mahendra Singh. The trio has cultivated this special paddy variety (TM RH-106) across their 10 canals of land. Their expert crop management has resulted in strong, healthy plants that promise an excellent yield.

Visibly impressed while walking through the farms, Minister Chandra Kumar stated that this high-quality produce could become a powerful tool for boosting farmer incomes across the state.

So, what makes Rose Paddy so special?

· It’s Aromatic: It’s a major hybrid variety known for its long, thin, and fragrant grains.
· It’s Fast-Growing: Ready for harvest in just 116 to 122 days, allowing farmers to efficiently plan their next crop.
· It’s Resilient: The variety has a strong natural immunity to major diseases, which significantly cuts down the cost of pesticides for farmers.

The Minister emphasized that adopting advanced varieties like Rose Paddy is key to reducing costs and securing better profits. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to empowering farmers through subsidies and technical guidance on seeds, fertilizers, and modern equipment. As part of this initiative, natural farming is being promoted to ensure better public health and a stronger rural economy.

The visit concluded with the Minister warmly praising the farmers for their hard work and excellent crop management, confident that their efforts will inspire others and pave the way for a more prosperous agricultural future.

The occasion was also attended by Congress spokesperson Jar Singh Sansari and numerous local farmers.
