68 MLA castes their votes for a RS seat in Himachal 

All the 68 MLAs of the legislative assembly Cast their postal ballot for one seat of Rajyasabha of Himachal Prain desh today.

Polling began around 0930hrs this morning for the RS seat. Congress party has 40 seats in the state assembly and having the support of three Independent members in the legislative assembly put Supreme Court Lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi in the fray.

 BJP which has only 25 members in the unicameral house has put former Congress Rebel Harish Mahajan in the fray expecting detection in the ruling members.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Public Works Development Minister Vikramaditya were among the first to cast their votes. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri who could not attend the house due to the demise of his wife recently also cast their votes.

Responding to media persons after the voting Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that all the members of the ruling bench attend polling. 

All the members of the BJP legislative assembly also turned up for polling. The counting of votes would be held at 1700 hrs. 

Replying to media queries Congress party president Pratibha Singh said that the use of money government power by the BJP could not ruled out in the RS poll.
