6254 quit constable re-examination after paper leak

As many as 6254 candidates remained absent from Himachal Pradesh Police Constable written re-examination in which 122 candidates were restrain from appearing who are booked for their involvement in the paper leak case. A police spokesperson said here today said that Written examination for 1334 posts of Constables in HP Police was conducted

today in the State from 12:00 hrs. to 13:00 hrs. All candidates, who qualified the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) concluded on 03.03.2022 were eligible

to appear for the written examination. The written examination was conducted at 87 examination centers in all Districts of the State. Total 75803 candidates were qualified in ground test, out of which 75681 candidates were allowed to appear for the written examination after restricting 122 candidates,

who were involved previously using foul means. Out of 75681 candidates, 69427 appeared

(92%) for written examination and 6254 candidates were reported absent. The written

examination has been concluded peacefully without reporting any case of unfair means. It is worthwhile to mention writen examination was reconducted on Sunday after paper leak case was registered about 122 candidates. For the smooth and fair conduct of written examination, number of

arrangements were made by the Police Department Including CCTV cameras were installed in all the examination centres. The provisions of videographers were made where CCTVs were not available. Thorough frisking of all the candidates were done before allowing them to enter the examination halls. Provisions of Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD) & Door Frame Metal

Detector (DFMD) were made at the entrance of examination centres.1351 Jammers were installed in almost all examination centres or halls to

block and restrict all kinds of external communications through electronic devices.

Centre Superintendents and invigilators were hired from Government or Private Educational Institutes for fair and smooth conduct of exam. Flying Squads headed by Superintendents of Police & Commandants were

constituted for surprise checking in the examination centres in all Districts. Vigilance teams from the State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau were

deployed to keep surveillance over malafide practices and the activities of

any kind.CID teams were deployed for collection of advance intelligence regarding any

suspicious activities.Three senior level IPS officers were appointed as observers in 03 Ranges of the State under the overall supervision of Shri Abhishek Trivedi, IPS, ADGP-

AP&T-cum-Chairman, Police Recruitment Board. D.K Yadav, IPS IGP(Admn & Welfare) was deployed as observer for Southern Range and  Bimal Gupta DIG-PTC for Central Range and Santosh Patial, IPS, DIG-

Intelligence, for Northern Range Dharamshala.In addition to the police personnel and supporting staff, 126 GOs were

deployed for duties during written examination.During the written examination, the DGP-HP and ADGP-AP&T-cum-Chairman HP

Police Recruitment Board remained present at PHQ Shimla to monitor the whole activities.The DGP-HP has congratulated Abhishek Trivedi, IPS, ADGP-AP&T as theChairman of the H.P. Police Recruitment Board and all Police officers or officials for smooth, peaceful, seamless, transparent and fair written examination. State Government has announced to provide free travel to all the candidates in HRTC buses after the paper leak it had announced to reconducted the written examination.
