27 Pvt institutions booked by CBI in Scholarship scam in Himachal

The CBI booked as many as 27 educational institutions in multicore scholarship scam as three charge sheets have filled by the Central Bureau of Investigation against the owners and employees of 11 private institutions, this was stated by Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur laying the information of a query in the house today. Replying to a query asked by Ram Lal Thakur (Shri Naina Deviji) regarding scholarship scam, Minister said that on the prima facie complaint made by the government regarding this scam in the scholarships given to the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in private educational institutions. Minister also informed that FIR has been lodged by the Education department under sections 409, 419, 465, 466 and 471 of IPC  on Nov 16, 2018,   at East Police Station Shimla and after this, this case was transferred by the Himachal Pradesh Government to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The Central Bureau of Investigation is still on; moreover three charge sheets have been made by the CBI against the owners and employees of 11 private institutions in this scam in the special CBI court, Shimla. Minister also informed that out of 27 private institutions 19 belonged to state and eight were situated in the other states. Group of Institutions, Sukhjinder Group of Institutes, Punjab, ICL Group of Colleges, Haryana,  Apex Institute of Management, Haryana, Chandigarh University Gharon, Mohali, and Sukhjinder Group of Institutes, Mohali.
