1400 HRTC parked idle beside roads , Govt moves to purchase 205 new buses

The people of this hill state suffered owing to apathy of BJP Govt to not ply  public transport during the lock down and after moreover 1400 HRTC buses are facing dusts parked idle beside the road owing to lack of staff and governments lack of interest to ply them on the road..
An aware citizen Mr A Rohal questioned the Jai Ram Thakur Government in a social media post today why it is going to buy another 205 new buses for HRTC which is already is in red and unable to pay the salary to its employees in time.
Mr Rohal pointed out that HRTC currently have jumbo fleet of around 3100 buses out of which 1400 are parked beside roads biting dusts turning white elephant on the cost of public exchequer. The Govt is hiding under the garb of Covid lock down to not ply service in all route. 
Mr Rohal said that 350 HRTC new buses are standing on the road for last four years. In another post Former Transport Minister and Senior Congress leader Mr G S Bali defending him from similar allegations said that during his tenure as minister blue buses were added to HRTC fleet under JNNURM as this mission was started by the former Prime minister Manmohan Singh .
He said that these buses was to support the transport facility of people in the urban areas however he converted these JNNURM buses to help people coming from villages to Shimla city and other clusters towns. 800 buses were introduced in the state. He said that 120 buses were also bought during Cong rule between 20-12 to 2017 for the people living in higher areas .
Former Minister claimed that he added 1800 new buses increasing the total fleet up to 3150. He also claimed that 3000 conductors were recruited but than Opposition scuttle the process as it took the court  The Cong Govt had clean chit from the court however this delay resulted parking number of buses without routes however this government must have ended the shortage of staff to should run the idle fleet on the road.
He said that during the Cong rule no big city was left without Volvo and other bus services linking them to Delhi Moreover Himachal became first state in the country to run first Electric bus commissioned to Rohtang Pass.
The state Government taking alibi Covid pandemic incurring the massive loss to already running book value loss HRTC expected run all route which it has closed owing to various reason.
Citizens have  rued the Jai Ram Thakur Govt for not starting HRTC route after they have been open dafter 2nd and 1 st wave of Covid pandemic. Wisdom should be prevail before decided to  buy new buses when it have massive fleet idle parked on the road .
