Felicitation Ceremony for Para-Badminton Gold Medalist Aman Thakur at IIAS
Announcement of a token of love and appreciation of INR 51,000
Aman Thakur, a player from Himachal Pradesh who won a gold medal for India in the recently held Para-Badminton tournament in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, was grandly welcomed and honored today in a hybrid mode (both online and offline) ceremony organized in the seminar hall of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. Aman Thakur is the son of an employee at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study.
Several officials, staff, and journalist friends attended the ceremony. The program commenced with a welcome, followed by Dr. Jitendra Roy, Convener of the Scholars’ Council, presenting a bouquet and an institute memento to Mr. Aman Thakur. Dr. Roy praised Aman Thakur’s achievements in his speech, describing him as an inspiration for the youth. Following this, Institute Secretary Mr. Mehar Chand Negi conveyed his best wishes to Aman, calling it a significant achievement for the institute family.
Mr. Aman Thakur shared his experiences on stage, talking about his hard work, struggles, and achievements. His inspiring words left a strong impression on all attendees.
Institute Director Prof. Nageshwar Rao, in his address, praised Aman Thakur and wished him a bright future. Vice President Prof. Shailendra Raj Mehta described Aman Thakur’s achievements as remarkable and commended his dedication in his speech.
Finally, Governing Body Chairperson Prof. Shashiprabha Kumar delivered the keynote speech and gave the vote of thanks. She thanked all guests, journalists, and employees for attending the ceremony and announced a token of love and appreciation of INR 51,000 on behalf of the institute while wishing Aman Thakur success in his future endeavors. The program was conducted by Public Relations Officer Akhilesh Pathak.
After the ceremony, a tea and refreshments session was organized for all guests and journalists, where everyone engaged in discussions with Aman Thakur. The institute family members also took group photos with the emerging national player, Aman Thakur.
