Schedule flashing of Silt: Satluj water level may rise

Flushing of slit from Karchhum and Nathpa Dam in Kinnaur district since midnight today water level of Satluj river likely to increase and People should not go near the river.
This advisory was issued by State Disaster Management Authority here on Saturday.
In coordination with Karchhum and Nathpa Dam water of both dam would be flushed out the silt since 0000hrs to 1700 hrs on August. 
It could increase the water level of river as 1000 cusec water would be released in the river. 
The water level may rise due to release of water therefore general public should not go near the river, advisory mentioned.
Dam floodgates were opened every year to flushed out the silt from the dams and production would be remained suspended till generation wouldn’t resume again.
