SJNPL’ 1500 mega watt hydropower plants achieve highest ever milestone of power production

Public Sector miniblue chip firm Satluj Jal Vidhut Nigam limited (SJVNL) excell its own previous record of power production as it’s 1500 mw Nathpa Jakhari Hydro Electric plant achieved major milestone after producing record power generation in one day.
A facebook post by the SJVNL said that on July 6, 2021 Asia’s largest power plant NJEHP achieved power generation upto 39.394 million units which highest production of this project since it’s Commission.
Power plant registered peak water discharge in the rainy season have produced abou 39.373 mu on 21 August last year( 2020).
SJVNL greeted it’s all stakeholders for achieving this break-through in country,s largest under ground power plant which is based upon six massive turbines having capacity to generate power about 250 mw each.
The firm is taking major leap in the hydropower sector after acquiring state of art technology in the power generation beside having one of the efficient staff and mechinary.
The firm sold power under power purchase agreement to different states and union territory through northern power grid currently have heavy demand owing to high power consumption in industries and Agriculture sectors.
