Himachal Youth Congress Suspends 13 Leaders for Skipping Delhi Protest

The Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress has suspended 13 office-bearers for failing to attend a party programme in Delhi, taking disciplinary action against them with immediate effect.

The suspended leaders include two state vice-presidents, eight general secretaries and three secretaries. The suspension will remain in force until further orders.

The order was issued on November 2, 2026, by Aryan Chauhan, General Secretary (Organisation) of the Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress, following a decision by the Indian Youth Congress leadership.

According to the order, the leadership viewed the absence of the office-bearers from the Delhi programme seriously and decided to act over their non-participation as a matter of organisational discipline.

Copies of the order have been sent to Indian Youth Congress General Secretary and Himachal in-charge Shesh Narayan Ojha, IYC Secretary and Co-in-charge Jyotish HM, Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress President Chhatar Singh Thakur and Working President Akhil Agnihotri.

The move signals a tougher stand by the Youth Congress leadership on discipline and participation in party programmes, with the suspensions set to continue until fresh instructions are issued.
