Himachal Opens Recruitment for 2,423 Teachers in CBSE Government Schools
Applications to open November 10; teachers to be hired across 15 subjects with a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹30,000
The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog has announced a major recruitment drive for 2,423 teaching posts in government schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The vacancies span 15 subjects, with appointments to be made under a scheme-based contractual arrangement of the state Education Department. Selected teachers will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹30,000.
Online applications will open at 10 am on November 10, while candidates can submit their forms until 11:59 pm on December 5.
Mathematics Tops Vacancy List
Mathematics has the highest number of openings, with 281 posts. English, Hindi, Biology, Sanskrit, Commerce and Physical Education have 187 vacancies each.
Another 156 posts each are available in Political Science, History and Economics, while Fine Arts has 172 vacancies.
Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Music have 95 posts each.

Vikram Mahajan, Secretary of the State Selection Commission, said eligible candidates can apply through the Commission’s official website between November 10 and December 5.

The large-scale recruitment drive is expected to add much-needed teaching strength to CBSE-affiliated government schools across Himachal Pradesh as the state expands its CBSE-based schooling initiative.
