Tehsildar of Junga, Kartikeya Sharma has been made SDM Rural Shimla

Kartikeya Sharma, who was serving as Tehsildar in Junga, has been promoted by the state government and appointed SDM Rural Shimla. He has been assigned this new responsibility as per the transfer and posting orders recently issued by the government. His appointment marks a new chapter in his administrative career.
Kartikeya Sharma, a 2023 batch Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HAS) officer, has gained experience in various administrative positions during his service. After being selected for the HAS, he served as the Block Development Officer (BDO) in the Tutu development block for approximately one year. He was then appointed Tehsildar in Junga, where he handled revenue and administrative duties for approximately one year.
Kartikeya Sharma’s administrative experience isn’t limited to HAS service. He previously served as an Inspector in the Excise and Taxation Department. He also served as DFSC in the Food and Supplies Department. His experience working in various departments has provided him with an understanding of administrative systems, revenue functions, and the implementation of government schemes.
Kartikey Sharma also passed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam, which led to an appointment as an Assistant Commandant in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). However, he did not join the force and later pursued his career in the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service.
