Trahai village has been in darkness for 48 hours
Villagers in Trahai village of Junga tehsil are facing severe problems due to power outage for the last 48 hours. While the power outage on the occasion of Durgashtami has affected daily household chores, communication is also getting disrupted due to mobile phones not being charged. The power crisis has further increased the problems of the villagers amidst the arrival of guests at homes. Tehsildar Junga Kartikeya Sharma has also directed the officials of the Electricity Board Junga to restore power in Trahai village soon.
Senior villagers Pritam Singh Thakur, Bhagat Chand Anand, Roshan Lal, and Dharam Singh, along with other villagers, said that despite repeated complaints to the electricity board, the power supply has not been restored. The villagers demanded the deployment of electricity board employees, teammates, or linemen in Peeran Panchayat and surrounding areas so that minor power outages can be repaired in a timely manner.
Vikas Raj, junior engineer at the Junga Electricity Board subdivision, stated that due to a shortage of staff, there is a problem in timely resolving complaints. He assured that a team of employees will be sent to Trahai village on October 20th to take necessary action to restore power supply.
