IIT Mandi Makes a Strong Global Leap in THE Rankings 2027
Mandi, October 6: IIT Mandi has achieved a significant milestone on the global academic stage by moving up from the 1001-1200 band to the 801-1000 band in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027. The improvement reflects the institute’s growing reputation in teaching, research, innovation, industry engagement and international collaboration.
The latest edition of the rankings, which evaluated 2,297 universities across 118 countries and territories, is the largest ever conducted by THE. Institutions were assessed across five key areas: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook.
For IIT Mandi, the rise in rankings is a testament to the collective efforts of its faculty, students, staff, alumni and partners. The institute has steadily strengthened its academic ecosystem through high-quality education, cutting-edge research and a focus on innovation with societal impact.
