Health camps for senior citizens organised in the chain of public health centres

The Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti organized the 26th health camp as part of its chain of public health centers. The camp was inaugurated by Ankush Verma, councilor of the local Engineghar ward.
This health camp was organized in collaboration with Help Age India, a partner organization of SFADA. Using Help Age India’s mobile medical van, doctors and a technical team examined the health of those who attended the camp. Essential health checks, including sugar and blood pressure, were conducted, and essential medicines were also provided free of charge to those in need.
During the camp, Help Age India representative Ranjit Kumar provided valuable information about digital and financial literacy to senior citizens. He raised awareness about the safe and effective use of mobile phones, various digital features, and the necessary precautions to be taken during financial transactions. Senior citizens showed great interest and learned about various mobile phone operations.
On this occasion, Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti’s State Secretary Satyawan Pundir, State Vice President Sumitra Chandel, District President Govind Chataranta, Vice President Dr. O.P. Kayastha, Prof. Vijay Veer Dogra and Robin Sinha were specially present.
