Women tied Rakhi on the wrists of army brothers at ARTRAC
The Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha, Himachal Pradesh, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with enthusiasm, warmth, and patriotism on Friday in front of ARTRAC, St. Thomas School, Shimla. On this occasion, the Mahila Morcha sisters tied Rakhi on the wrists of their brothers in the army and wished them a healthy, safe, and long life. The BJP Mahila Morcha’s state president, Mrs. Daisy Thakur, was the chief guest at the event.
During the event, Mahila Morcha officials and workers applied tilak to their soldiers, tied Rakhi on their wrists, and offered sweets to them, wishing them a happy Raksha Bandhan. The event reflected a sense of respect and gratitude for the soldiers who dedicate themselves day and night to the nation’s security.
Daisy Thakur said that it is because of Indian soldiers that citizens are able to celebrate festivals safely and securely in their homes. Whether soldiers are deployed on the country’s borders or elsewhere, they are an integral part of the nation’s family. Tying a Rakhi to our soldiers on the occasion of Rakshabandhan is a moment of pride and emotional feeling for the Mahila Morcha.
She said that Rakhi is not just a thread, but a symbol of affection, trust, respect, and protection. Today, the sisters of the Mahila Morcha tied the thread of protection on the wrists of their soldiers, sending the message that the entire society and nation stands firmly with its brave soldiers.
Daisy Thakur said that when a soldier travels hundreds or thousands of kilometers from his family to perform his duty to protect the nation, his sacrifice and dedication cannot be expressed in words. Our soldiers ensure the security of the country amidst difficult conditions, adverse weather, and numerous challenges. It is the duty of every citizen to respect such brave soldiers.
She said that in Indian culture, festivals are a means of connecting society and strengthening relationships. Raksha Bandhan not only celebrates the sacred bond between brother and sister, but also conveys a message of duty, protection, and mutual trust. Through this festival, the Mahila Morcha aims to further strengthen patriotism, social harmony, and respect for soldiers.
While wishing Rakshabandhan to all the soldiers and the people of the state, Daisy Thakur said that the courage, sacrifice and dedication of the brave soldiers of the country towards the nation will always be a source of inspiration for all of us.
