Dr. Jaspal Khatri Elected Unopposed as Convenor of Fellows’ Council at IIAS
Dr. Jaspal Khatri has been unanimously elected unopposed as the Convenor of the Fellows’ Council at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, during a meeting of the Institute’s Fellows held today.
The meeting was attended by National Fellows, Tagore Fellows, and other Fellows of the Institute, all of whom unanimously supported Dr. Khatri’s candidature. With the consent of all the Fellows present, he was elected unopposed as the Convenor of the Fellows’ Council.
On the occasion, the Fellows expressed confidence that under Dr. Khatri’s leadership, the Fellows’ Council would play a significant role in further strengthening the Institute’s academic environment, promoting dialogue and collaboration among Fellows, and ensuring effective coordination of various academic and intellectual activities.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with the Fellows extending their congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Jaspal Khatri on assuming his new responsibility.
