No Tobacco Day celebrated at Chiyog School
International No Tobacco Day was celebrated at the Government Senior Secondary School for Excellence, Chiyog. On this occasion, students organized a rally to raise awareness about the ill effects of tobacco use. Principal Sandeep Sharma presided over the program.
Various school-wide competitions were held on this occasion. In the junior category, Palak, a student from Gandhi House, won first place, Shraddha, a student from Tagore House, won second place, and Shivansh, a student from Shivaji House, won third place in the speech competition. In the senior category, Ankit, a student from Laxmi House, won first place, Sania, a student from Shivaji House, won second place, and Adarsh, a student from Tagore House, won third place. Additionally, the Road Safety Club organized a poetry competition. In the junior category, Laxmi House student Shweta won first place, Gandhi House student Aditya Negi won second place, and Shivaji House student Samaira won third place. Similarly, in the senior category, Laxmi House student Prerna won first place, Shivaji House student Gunjan won second place, and Gandhi House student Arnav won third place. On this occasion, the Principal informed the students about the adverse health effects of drug addiction. He stated that tobacco consumption can lead to serious diseases like cancer.
