Fresh Opportunities Bloom for Students at Himachal Agricultural University
Students at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya got a valuable head start on their careers as the campus came alive with a two-day recruitment drive held on May 24 and 25.
Organised by the university’s Human Resource Development & Placement Centre in collaboration with the Niche Group of Companies, the drive brought together opportunity and ambition under one roof. As many as 74 postgraduate and Ph.D. scholars from across the university’s four colleges—Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Community Sciences, and Basic Sciences—stepped forward to present their skills and aspirations.
The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as students from diverse academic backgrounds took part in face-to-face interviews conducted by the company’s recruitment team. The drive opened doors to multiple sectors through the Niche Group’s varied divisions, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, biotech, film farming, and livestock.
Encouraging the students, Vice-Chancellor Ashok Kumar Panda urged them to approach such opportunities with confidence and preparation. He also shared practical advice on interview readiness and career growth, while appreciating the efforts of industry leaders like Harisharan Devgan in bridging the gap between academia and the professional world.
The recruitment process was led by Niche Group CEO Pankaj Bansal and his team, with strong on-ground coordination by the university’s Students’ Welfare Organisation, faculty members, and placement officials who ensured everything ran smoothly.
Beyond interviews and job prospects, the initiative reflected something deeper—the university’s commitment to preparing its students for real-world challenges, strengthening connections with industry, and helping young professionals take their first confident steps into their careers.
