Bomb Threat Triggers Swift Security Response in Rohru
A bomb threat targeting the Rohru SDM office and the adjoining judicial complex sent local authorities into action on Tuesday, prompting an immediate security alert and evacuation.
The scare began after a poster carrying the threat was discovered pasted on a wall near Bharari Road in the Eversani area, close to Lakkar Bazar in Shimla. The message warned of a plan to blow up the SDM office and court complex in Rohru, raising serious concerns within the administration.
As a precaution, police swiftly evacuated the premises and cleared the surrounding area. Parked vehicles were removed, and a strong police force was deployed to secure the location. A bomb disposal squad was also called in to conduct an extensive search.
Officials confirmed that no suspicious or explosive material has been found so far. However, search and verification operations are still ongoing to rule out any potential risk. A case has been registered at the Sadar Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said the matter is being thoroughly examined. He urged citizens to stay calm and refrain from spreading rumours, assuring that the situation remains fully under control.
