Pooja Sarta secured fourth position in CBSE exams

The state government recently held a selection test for teachers in new CBSE schools, the results of which were recently announced. Pooja Sarta, a political science lecturer at Government Senior Secondary School, Peeran, secured the top spot in the state by scoring 94 percent in the CBSE sub-cadre exam, bringing honor not only to the school but to the entire Junga region.
It is worth noting that Pooja Sarta, originally from Sharoti, Junga, holds a Master’s (MA) degree in Political Science from Himachal Pradesh University. After completing her B.Ed., Pooja also passed the NET and SET exams in Political Science. After clearing the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s lecturer exam, she was appointed as a Political Science lecturer at the Government Senior Secondary School, Peeran, in April 2025. Prior to this, Pooja Sarta served as a teacher at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Him Rashmi Campus, Vikasnagar, Shimla, for three years. She says that this is her first experience in a CBSE school, and if she is appointed to a state CBSE school, she will be able to provide even better services. She stated that her goal is to pursue a career in the civil services, for which she has already appeared for the exam twice, and will work hard to achieve this goal in the future. His success is a source of inspiration for the youth, which shows that any goal can be achieved through continuous effort and determination.
