Rohru firing incident exposes law and order situation – Congress government completely failed: Rakesh Jamwal

BJP State Chief Spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal expressed deep sorrow over the firing incident during a religious event in Kulgaon, Rohru subdivision, calling it extremely unfortunate and worrying. Expressing condolences to the family of the deceased, Ritika (aka Gudiya), he said that this incident is not merely an accident but the result of deteriorating law and order and administrative failure in the state.

Rakesh Jamwal said that incidents like celebratory firing are continuously occurring in religious and social events, but the Congress government has completely failed to stop it.

“This incident shows that the fear of law has ended in the state and the administration has remained completely inactive,” he said.

He alleged that if the administration and police had been alert in time, such a tragic incident could have been prevented.

“The brandishing of weapons and firing in the presence of hundreds of people is the biggest example of the failure of the administration,” he said.

Rakesh Jamwal also targeted the government regarding the arrangements for taking the body to Rohru hospital and said that the way an attempt was made to send the body in a vehicle filled with sand shows the insensitivity of the administration.

“This is not just negligence, but an incident that shames humanity,” he said.

He said that the anger of the family members is completely justified and the government should answer in this matter.

“The Congress government is failing on every front – neither is it able to maintain law and order nor is it able to show sensitivity,” he said.

Demanding an impartial investigation into the matter, the BJP said that strictest action should be taken against the culprits and it should be ensured that such incidents do not happen again in the future.

Finally Rajesh Jamwal said that

“The people of the state are now feeling insecure and the common people are bearing the brunt of the careless working style of the Congress government – this situation needs to be rectified immediately.”
