Information about health and maintenance of cattle was given to cattle rearers in Peeran

Under the aegis of the Animal Husbandry Department, Koti, a one-day animal health awareness camp was successfully organized on Tuesday in the village of Piran in the Junga tehsil. A large number of livestock farmers from the Piran Panchayat participated in the camp.
Dr. Jai Pal Basta, in-charge of the veterinary hospital in Koti, provided detailed information to livestock farmers about various major livestock welfare schemes of the state and central governments. These included animal vaccination, disease control, breeding of improved breeds, income enhancement, and the process of availing the benefits of assistance schemes.
Dr. Jaipal Basta urged the livestock farmers that all the rural livestock farmers should actively participate in such awareness programmes to be organised in future and increase both the productivity and economic income of their livestock by taking advantage of the free and affordable animal health services available.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajendra Rajta, Veterinary Officer, Mashobra, provided practical information to livestock farmers about the importance of vaccination against various infectious and chronic diseases, the timing, and appropriate methods for prevention. He also clarified that regular vaccination can lead to lasting improvements in livestock-based income.
Dr. Ankita provided detailed information about the 1962 Animal Ambulance Service at the camp. She explained that this service helps provide immediate medical assistance to sick or emergency animals, and that livestock owners can contact the toll-free number 1962 to avail of it.
In this camp, Hari Chand, Sunil Dutt and Sunaina Thakur from the department also provided assistance in running the camp smoothly and provided necessary facilities for resolving various complaints and questions of the livestock farmers.
