A Golden Journey of Faith: Loreto Family Celebrates Sr. Tressia’s 50 Years of Service
The Loreto family in Shimla came together on 11 April 2026 to celebrate a truly special milestone—the Golden Jubilee of Sr. Tressia’s religious life. More than just marking fifty years, the event was a tribute to her unwavering faith, selfless service, and the countless lives she has touched with compassion and love.
Held at the Gonzaga Auditorium, the celebration began with a Holy Mass, followed by a crowning and felicitation ceremony. A cultural programme prepared by the teaching and support staff added warmth to the occasion, featuring a welcome song and dance, a prayer dance, and a self-composed song dedicated to Sr. Tressia’s remarkable journey.
Sr. Tressia’s life stands as a shining example of dedication and humility, inspiring generations of students and staff. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Father Jose Parappilly (S.D.B) as the main celebrant, along with Father Antony Dexen, Father Anil Sequeira, Father Robert, and sisters from St. Bede’s College and the Convent of Jesus and Mary. Family members and counsel representatives from across provinces also joined, adding emotional depth to the celebration.
The highlight of the day was the heartfelt welcome of Sr. Tressia, adorned with a crown and sash, symbolizing gratitude and reverence for her lifelong service. The programme concluded with a sumptuous luncheon, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and divine grace.
Guided by Sr. Apolina Lakra and Ms. Sharma, the Golden Jubilee became a true spectacle of faith, gratitude, and community spirit—a reminder of how one life dedicated to service can illuminate the path for many.
