Congress will not tolerate insult to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi: Vinay Kumar

State Congress President Vinay Kumar strongly retorted to the vulgar and low-level remarks made by BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, against Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, saying that these were not merely personal remarks, but an attack on all political etiquette and democratic culture. He said that the language of BJP leaders is deteriorating day by day, which is a testament to their frustration and desperation.
He said Kangana Ranaut’s language was not only shameful but also hurt the dignity of the entire state of Himachal Pradesh. “The BJP must clarify whether this is their political culture. Is this their true face?”
Vinay Kumar issued a stern warning to the BJP, saying that if a public apology is not made to the nation for the vulgar remarks against Rahul Gandhi, Congress will not sit idly by. “We will take to the streets, surround every BJP MP, and give a befitting reply to this arrogant politics.
He said the Congress party would go to any lengths to protect the honor of its leader, Rahul Gandhi. “This is not just a question of one leader, but a fight for ideology, honor, and democratic values. The BJP should understand that Congress workers are ready to respond to any insult,” he said.

BJP’s conduct inside and outside the Assembly is condemnable.

Launching a scathing attack on the BJP’s conduct during the Assembly session, State Congress President Vinay Kumar said the BJP has taken a contract to undermine the decorum of democracy. He said that shouting slogans at the entrance before the House proceedings even began is not a protest, but a deliberate insult to democratic institutions. The BJP is laying the foundation for a dangerous tradition, where noise and chaos are being promoted instead of debate and reason.
Vinay Kumar sharply stated that this is the same BJP that espouses democracy, but in practice, it refuses to shy away from stifling it. It’s easy to grab headlines by raising slogans outside the House, but they have no ability to answer issues of national interest inside. He said that this BJP attitude clearly shows that it is shying away from public issues and is staging a drama to hide its political bankruptcy.
He said the Assembly is a forum for debate and policy, not an arena for cheap politics. The BJP’s alleged desecration of the House’s dignity is a betrayal of the state’s people. “The people have entrusted them with the responsibility of the opposition, but they are shirking that responsibility and engaging in only negative politics,” he said.
