Rajgarh’s daughter, police woman constable Neha, died untimely while on duty

Neha, a daughter of the Rajgarh region, who served in the Police Reserve Battalion, Bassi, Bilaspur, passed away unexpectedly yesterday at Medical College, Tanda. Her last rites were performed with full state honors on Monday at Fagu Nala in her ancestral village, Manoun, near Rajgarh. Hundreds of locals gathered to bid her a tearful farewell. Neha’s untimely demise has cast a pall of grief and sorrow over the entire region. Her death has left everyone heartbroken. Her father, Kamal Dutt Sharma, and her mother, Nisha Sharma, are deeply saddened. Her body was brought to her ancestral village, Manoun, on Monday morning, and her last rites were performed with full state honors at Fagu Nala. Neha’s younger brother, Abhay Sharma, lit the funeral pyre for his elder sister, bringing tears to everyone’s eyes.
It’s worth noting that Neha, who hails from Manoun village in Rajgarh, was selected as a female constable in the police department last year and had been serving in the Police Reserve Battalion, Bassi Bilaspur, for the past month. Yesterday, while on duty, Neha’s health suddenly deteriorated, after which she was taken to Medical College, Tanda, Kangra, for treatment. Despite the best efforts of doctors, she died during treatment due to a serious ulcer.
DSP Rajgarh VC Negi, DSP Bassi Yogesh Dutt Joshi and DSP Tilak Raj Shandal of PTC Daroh reached the spot with their police team. The police department gave a guard of honour to the deceased woman constable. The jawans saluted and paid their last respects to their colleague. This made the entire atmosphere emotional. It is worth noting that Neha was the eldest among her four siblings. She was fond of wearing uniform since childhood, due to which Neha chose the police department. Neha was a friendly, hardworking and dedicated to her duties. By joining the police service, she wanted to bring glory to her family and region, but destiny had something else in store for her.
