Upgradation of computerized billing system from February 27 to March 03
In a press release, Assistant Engineer, HP Vidyut Parishad, Sub-Division, Junga, Yashwant Singh, informed the public that the IT infrastructure of the computerized billing system is being upgraded to ensure smooth delivery of electricity services to consumers through a digital platform and to improve bill generation and payment systems. Consequently, a downtime has been scheduled from February 27 to March 3, 2026, to migrate data to the system. During the downtime, the entire computerized billing and collection system, including the consumer portal and mobile application, will not be available to the public. He apologized for the inconvenience caused to the public due to this downtime.
He stated that once the upgrade activities are complete, the bill generation and payment systems will resume operations with improved performance and efficiency. For any assistance or complaints related to power supply during this period, consumers can contact the call center helpline numbers 1800-180-8060 or 1912.
The assistant engineer explained that the dependence and volume of transactions through these digital systems has increased significantly over the past few years. Since the existing IT infrastructure was established 10 years ago, it is not sufficient to meet current requirements and is now being upgraded to provide consumers with the best possible electricity services.
