Blast Reported Outside Nalagarh Police Station; Authorities Seal Off Area

Nalagarh town in Solan district woke up to shock and fear on New Year’s Day when a powerful explosion rattled the area around 9:15 am. The blast occurred near the boundary wall of the local police station, shaking nearby buildings and shattering windows, leaving residents startled and anxious.

Blast Heard Across Town
The impact was so intense that the sound carried far beyond the immediate site. Within a 50–60 metre radius, windows of the police station, the ECHS polyclinic, the Market Committee building, and a soldiers’ rest house were blown out. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, though the damage to property was significant.

Swift Police Response
Security forces rushed to the scene, sealing off the area to preserve evidence. Forensic experts and technical teams were called in to collect samples and determine whether the explosion was caused by an explosive device or another source. Superintendent of Police Vinod Dhiman confirmed the severity of the blast and assured that investigations are being carried out from every angle.

📹 CCTV Footage Under Review
Police are scanning surveillance footage from the surrounding area to trace any suspicious activity. So far, no unusual movements have been detected, but the investigation continues as authorities assess the damage to government buildings.

While the town remains on edge, the absence of casualties has brought some relief. For now, residents await clarity on what caused the sudden blast that disrupted the peace of their New Year morning.
