Mashobra School concludes on-job training programme for girl students

A three-day on-the-job training program was organized at the Government Model Senior Secondary School, Mashobra, for the overall development and skill enhancement of the girl students. Twenty-six girl students from ninth and eleventh grades received practical training in beauty therapy, hairdressing, mehndi art, facials, massage, hair care, makeup, and beauty services. The students received the training with full dedication and learned new techniques.
Under the leadership of Anu Kumari, the school’s beauty and health teacher, the students were taken on a tour of Saraswati Mahila Training Centre, Auckland Shimla, where Superintendent Rupa Sood and other staff including Renu gave detailed information to the students about various business activities related to the health and beauty sector.
Teacher Anu Kumari explained that the primary objective of the program was to provide students with practical, employment-oriented, and skill-based experiences, in addition to formal classroom instruction, so they could become self-reliant for future professional challenges. This training was conducted according to the curriculum prescribed under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
School Principal Dr. Anita Gupta praised the program, saying that this type of on-the-job training is extremely helpful in developing students’ self-confidence, skills, and a positive outlook on their careers. She credited vocational teacher Anu Kumari, whose skillful guidance, dedication, and constant support provided the students with practical knowledge, with significant contributions to the successful organization of this program.
