Two drops of life were given to ten thousand children in Mashobra block
On National Immunization Day, Block Medical Officer Mashobra Dr. Sanjay Ranaut inaugurated the Pulse Polio campaign by administering two drops of life to children at the Mashobra Medical Block on Sunday.
Dr. Sanjay Ranaut stated that approximately 10,000 children (80 percent of the population) in the Mashobra block received the Pulse Polio vaccine. Department staff will administer the Pulse Polio vaccine door-to-door over the next two days to those who missed the dose. He added that there are approximately 12,500 children aged 0 to 5 years in the rural areas of the Mashobra medical block. 130 Pulse Polio booths were set up to administer the Pulse Polio vaccine. To make this campaign successful, 502 employees were employed, including ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Chief Health Officers (CHOs), health workers, and Ayurvedic department employees. Dr. Sanjay Ranaut stated that 260 children at transit points in the block and 43 children living in slums received the Pulse Polio vaccine.
He expressed his gratitude to all the village panchayat heads, women and youth groups, self-help groups and local people of the block for giving their constructive support in this campaign.
