Eighth International Conference on Imageinformation Processing (ICIIP–2025)
The Eighth International Conference on Image Information Processing (ICIIP–2025) was
inaugurated on 27th November 2025 at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT),
Waknaghat. This ceremony was presided by Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof R K Sharma
where chief guest was Prof L D Behera, Director, IIT, Mandi. It was witnessed by all the deans
of JUIT, various heads of the departments along with core organizing committee which
includes Prof Vivek Sehgal, Head CSE and IT, JUIT, Dr Amit Jakhar, Conference General
Chair and Dr Arvind Kumar, Conference General Co-chair and other members form JUIT. The
master of the ceremony was Dr Ruchi Verma, Faculty CSE and IT, JUIT.
Vice Chancellor, Prof Sharma addressed the gathering and shared his encouraging words,
highlighting the importance of research, discipline, and academic growth for students and
scholars. Dr Vivek elaborated about the department and Dr Amit gave a detailed overview of
the conference. Inauguration session was closed with a vote of thanks by Dr Arvind.
On the first day technical event started with a keynote session by eminent expert in the field
Prof L D Behera from IIT Mandi. His speech was engaging, motivating, and full of insight. He
talked about how fast the field of image information processing is growing and encouraged
students and researchers to stay curious, think creatively, and contribute to meaningful work.
His words genuinely inspired the audience. Second keynote session was conducted by Dr
Sriparna Saha from IIT Patna. Multiple parallel sessions for the oral presentations of research
work were also carried out in physical mode as well as in the virtual mode.
ICIIP–2025 received more than 820 research paper submissions, with an estimated acceptance
rate of sixteen percent, ensuring high academic selectivity. Participants from over twenty
countries, including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy,
Israel, Malaysia, Norway, Turkey, China, Poland, the UAE, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Russia, and
Jordan, have shown interest in contributing. The conference will also include participation from
major IITs, NITs, IIITs, international universities, research laboratories, and defence scientific
establishments, strengthening its academic diversity.
With extensive international participation, strong institutional partnerships, and a forward-
looking thematic focus, the conference is expected to significantly benefit the research
community and support the evolution of intelligent image processing as a transformative
technological field. ICIIP–2025 is anticipated to encourage high-impact research contributions,
inspire young scholars, enhance international collaboration, and strengthen connections
between academia and industry. It is one of the prestigious flagship events of JUIT and its eight
edition itself reflects its success during last 15 years.
