Five meritorious students of Government Excellent Senior Secondary School, Chiyog were given a free trip to Hyderabad this year by Principal Sandeep Sharma at his own expense. These students included students Samiksha, Aarti, Ishaan, Aastha and Yashaswini, toppers from class 9th to 12th. All these students were given a plane ride to Hyderabad. During this five-day tour, various places in Hyderabad were visited, including Lubini Park, Ramuji Film City, etc. The Principal accommodated all these students in a five-star hotel in Hyderabad for four days.
It is worth noting that for the past four years, Principal Sandeep Sharma has been taking meritorious and topper students from class 6th to 12th on a trip to other states at his own expense. He says that such student-friendly schemes have awakened the spirit of competition among students and a lot of interest has been seen towards education. The Principal said that every year after the results are declared, students from class 6th to 8th are taken on a three-day train trip. Whereas students from class 9th to 12th are taken on a five-day air trip.
It is worth noting that during his service at Government Senior Secondary School Balg, Principal Sandeep Sharma had arranged for the train and air travel of seven bright students of Balg School from class 6th to 12th to Chandigarh and Delhi from his personal funds. Apart from this, four years ago, Sandeep Sharma had provided an incentive amount of Rs. 1 lakh each to two daughters of Chiyog School Complex who secured merit positions in the 12th class examination, to continue their further studies. Apart from this, he has donated Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of two rooms in Chiyog School. Sandeep Sharma has a distinct identity in the education department as an ideal teacher.
