Children forced to sit in the library due to leaking roof in school building
The children’s studies are being hampered due to water leakage in the building of Government Senior Secondary School, Wablu, Balog Panchayat of Mashobra Block. The walls of many rooms of the school have become damp. As soon as it rains, water starts leaking from the roof, due to which the school administration is forced to make the children sit in other rooms and the library.
Let us tell you that about five years ago two rooms were constructed in this school. Local people say that the roof has started leaking due to the use of poor quality material in the lintel. Classes of 7th and 9th are held in these rooms. According to the local people, when it rains, water collects on the roof of this building due to which the roof starts leaking.
The acting principal of the school, Rashima Sen, said that correspondence has been made with the senior officials of the department regarding this problem and the local Panchayat Pradhan has also been shown the opportunity. On the other hand, the Pradhan of Balog Panchayat, Om Prakash Sharma, said that he has no information about this. That is, there is a contradiction in the statements of the school administration and the Panchayat. The Pradhan says that if the school administration had informed the Panchayat about this problem in time, then certainly provision of funds could have been made.
