Students of Chiyog met CM Sukhu on De-Addiction Day
On the occasion of International Day of De-Addiction, 14 students of National Service Scheme unit of Government Senior Excellence Secondary School, Chiyog met Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu in the auditorium of the Secretariat. The school children were very happy to meet the CM for the first time. NSS in-charge Vijay Laxmi said that the students of Chiyog School got the opportunity to meet the Chief Minister courtesy of Keshav Ram Lothta, Director of Manav Kalyan Seva Samiti. This boosted the morale of the children and also inspired them to come forward. He said that in the program organized on de-addiction in the Secretariat, the students took oath to overcome drug addiction. The Chief Minister advised the students to stay away from the ill effects of drug addiction and any kind of drug addiction in their life.
Principal of Chiyog School, Sandeep Sharma said that the children meeting the great personalities of the state and the Chief Minister is a great achievement in itself, which not only instills confidence in the children, but also instills a sense of leadership in them. He said that from time to time, the children will also be made to meet politicians and high officials in high positions in the state so that they can get inspiration to move forward in various fields.
The Principal said that a program was also organized in Chiyog School on Drug De-addiction Day. In which the students of the school expressed their views. On this occasion, posters were also made on the ill effects of drug abuse and its prevention. He thanked the Director of Manav Kalyan Seva Samiti for arranging the meeting of the children with the Chief Minister.
