Campaign for de-addiction- become the identity of the people, Junga reverberated with slogans
A de-addiction campaign rally was organised in Junga courtesy of Nari Shakti and Nari Ekta Gram Sangathan formed under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. In which, apart from women from various self-help groups of the area, children of Government Senior Secondary School Junga also participated. This awareness rally started from the school ground and passed through the city to the tehsil office. With banners in hands, the city of Junga echoed with slogans like ‘De-addiction campaign – become the identity of every person’.
Addressing the children on this occasion, CRP Krishi Sakhi Yogmaya Sharma said that the main objective of the rally is to raise awareness among people and children about the ill effects of drug abuse. Drug addiction is such a termite that ends life prematurely. She said that drug addiction causes lung cancer, liver and kidney diseases in our body, due to which the human body becomes home to various types of diseases.
Anita, Pradhan of Keonthal Cluster, said that in the present scenario, the drug menace has spread in our society in such a way that every youth is falling into its clutches, for which it is important to make children aware so that they can stay away from drugs and intoxicants.
School Principal Mahesh Sharma, Mentor Daisy Raju from Kerala, Pashu Sakhi Meena Rana, HNG Rajni, LRP Preeti and Suman, Secretary Sunita Rana and other officials participated in the rally.
