Himachal releases list of selected JBT teachers based on recent counseling

The Directorate of Elementary Education in Himachal Pradesh has published the list of candidates selected for the Junior Basic Training (JBT) teacher positions based on recent counseling sessions. The counseling for the batch-wise, contract-based recruitment of JBT teachers was held in November 2023. Candidates were chosen for these posts according to their merit and the preference order they specified for various districts.

Appointment letters for the selected candidates are being issued separately by the respective Deputy Directors of Elementary Education. Out of the 1,161 posts advertised on October 11, 2023, the Directorate has declared results for 1,122 candidates. However, 10 positions (2 OBC WFF and 8 SC WFF) remain vacant due to a lack of eligible candidates. Additionally, results for 29 positions (13 Unreserved, 6 EWS, 6 SC, 1 SC BPL, 2 OBC, and 1 ST) have been withheld due to ongoing legal proceedings in the High Court, related to CWP Nos. 9043, 9032, and 9035 of 2023.

The Directorate has ensured that the results were prepared with the utmost care, but they acknowledge the possibility of inadvertent or technical errors. The Director of Elementary Education retains the right to make corrections as needed. Selected candidates are advised to reach out to the office of the Deputy Director of Elementary Education in their respective districts for their appointment letters and further details.
